Our Philosophy

We believe in providing age appropriate early childhood experiences, which enhance cognitive, physical, emotional and social growth. Puddle Duck offers your child room to grow as an individual, opportunities to make friends, explore, create and learn. Small class environments, carefully developed curriculum plans, hand picked Staff, and a facility that is privately run and cared for, encourage your child to develop healthy self image, self esteem, self help skills and self concepts.

Our Staff

Our Staff have been hand selected and individually trained by our center administration and fellow Staff members. They are all certified through the State of Massachusetts as Early Childhood Educators. Our Staff continually educate themselves through workshops, seminars, under graduate and graduate level courses. Our Staff are our pride and joy and truly the heart and soul of our center. They are mature, educated, motivated and high quality. Our long term Staff have been a part of our team anywhere from two to twelve years.

Our Facility

Puddle Duck has carefully arranged their classrooms to meet the needs of the children that occupy them. Each class contains toys, furniture, and arrangement that are functional for the children's developmental level. The school itself has been designed to feel of home, while maintaining its educational integrity. We feel this is a perfect balance for the young child whose needs we serve. Each classroom is self-contained which helps children feel safe, happy and secure. It also makes Staff and Parents feel comfortable. Over sized classrooms with dividers are noisy and over stimulating for most children.

The Curriculum

The curriculum at Puddle Duck has not been handed down through a corporate engine to be implemented in a classroom they will never see. Our curriculum is hand selected weekly by the Staff that is working individually with the children in the classroom. They are able to integrate the needs of each child into the curriculum they are developing. Administration and Teachers work together to come up with curriculum plans that are fresh, engaging, fun, and stimulating for the children. We plan our curriculums around a monthly theme. The monthly theme is then incorporated into all areas and activities in the classroom. Each day the children participate in group time, art and cooking activities, music and movement, small and large motor, math and science as well as language arts and stories.
